RE: Spring Football
Wish I could be there. Lots to look for. Has Lamar really improved as much as we were led to believe. How is the OL doing. I've got a feeling that this team will be able to at play with urgency. Hearing crazy stuff about Javari Staples and Traveon Samuels. Devante Peete.

RE: Spring Football
The offensive line play is likely at the top of most people's list for things we'd like to see improved. I also want to see if Jackson is getting comfortable with being in the right spot on hand offs (especially working from under center) and if he is will to step up in the pocket and make throws instead of turning to running as the first instinct. I also want to see how much quality depth we have on defense, but in this sort of game, that probably won't be very evident.

My biggest concern with this team is the defensive depth. We have talent, but are the 2nd stringers good enough to hold their own when they have to spell the first squad. That would seem to be the case in the secondary, but up front is a mystery to me. Running out of gas has gotten us beat by FSU two years in a row.

RE: Spring Football
I don't think Quick makes or breaks this team. Our depth at WR is crazy. Petrino said today that Bonnafon has been working at WR for the last 10 days. Great point about depth. That is what the difference is between the Bamas and the others. Petrino can make up for that diff IMO.

RE: Spring Football
yea i know. i don't think he make/breaks the team either. i like bonnafon at WR. he was really good in high school. and he is so versatile, that they have to be able to put him on the field somewhere. with peete, staples, and samuals, i like our core

RE: Spring Football
Jackson's first half: 23-28 454 yds 7 TD's.

I believe he had 3 TD's of 50 yards or more. 54 yeards to Staples, a long 85 yarder to Quick and another....65 yards, don't remember the receiver. Jackson looked very confident and comfortable. He went to his 2nd and 3rd options when he had too and ran when he had nothing else. Solid effort.

Quick looked good. Bonnafon didn't get a lot of touchs. Radcliffe looks stout and the offensive line seemed OK, but it's really hard to read that sort of thing in a scrimmage.

This is hard to believe. The BC spring game ended up 6-2. QB Patty Towles.
