The Masters 16
If you ever needed some motivation for your golf game, Ernie Els 7-putted his first hole of this year's masters for a nice 10. The best part? 6 of the putts were from inside 3 feet. I think I would be calling it a day. ..

Ernie's best days are well behind him... he's potentially in the running for that 3rd spot in the honorary Masters starters with Tiger and Phil.

Good to see Spieth and Day both tearing it up early. Golf needs a couple of these young guns to reel off a string of big wins to capture the passive fan base.

I can't believe I was just watching a professional golfer there. I haven't even seen anything that bad with my drunk friends at the local goat farm golf course

I have been to the Masters once. Els drove a ball straight into one of the massive oaks (13?) about 20 yds from the tee box. It sounded like a cannon when it hit. He's lucky to have hit the tree because as errant as that shot was that could have killed someone.

Augusta doesn't seem like the kind of place you want to take a shaky putter of any kind. Imagine the speed of Chariot Run's greens. Now add an additional 6 on the Stimpmeter. During the Masters, green speeds can reach 14. Fast, defined by the USGA, is anything over 8.5. Fast, even at the US Open, is anything over 10.5.
