NBA All Star game
Oh my. Just saw the score for the first time. 196-173. 139 3 point attempts.

The beautiful game.

Didn't see any of the game or Saturday night. But from seeing the highlights, dunk contest wasn't too shabby.

They were some serious dunks. However that isn't basketball, not much more spectacular than the guys that use the trampolines to dunk. At least to me.

The 3 point attempts were out of control. The commentators call it the greatest pickup basketball game on the planet, but I'm pretty sure we play more defense during the Thursday Night slugfest at a local church

Of course we play better D... we all have 30 fouls to give and NO ONE is getting a paint bucket without a foul.

A lot of fans complain that the NBA All Stars don't compete in the dunk contest. Even if I assume they (Westbrook, James, etc.) didn't participate because they didn't want to get injured, I doubt they're beating Lavine or Gordon anyway.

If I'm getting an entertaining show like the one saturday, the stars can be at home having a beer for all I care.

I love how shaq was stingy with the 10's. Unless that dunk leaves my jaw on the floor, it's not a 10. There has to be room for separation.

Wasn't the complaint about the final that Gordon and Levine both got 50's, but Gordon's dunk was clearly better?

On the last dunks of the night they got a 47 and 49. I missed a few of the "perfect" dunks that had them going back and forth.

yup, they should figure out a way to judge it like boxing. Once it gets down to two guys, have a 3-round dunk off, judges record scores each dunk but don't release the scores until the end. It always comes off looking rigged, so who cares. Problem for most contests before this year's is that all the good dunks are used up by the time the final round starts and the whole thing just fizzles into people needing 7 attempts to pull of the same dunk.

Part of the allure of this year's contest was the last two guys making all their bad-ass dunks on their first attempts.
