nope this is for the whole season through week 7. I think you had 42 of 75 (56%) wins this week

They are overall season rankings...nothing to do with just week 7.

RE: Rye-Pom Rankings
Rye-Pom updated through week 8. You have to feel for the Dragons and that SOS. With the Empire loss to a surging Dominators squad, the Pirates become the only team in the league with a single loss, but are tied for 4th in the RyePom standings. Parity at the top remains a storyline for this season, with 5 teams sitting between 60%-64% in Rye-Poms wins. This year's title is going to be a coin flip, but anyone finishing in the Top8 will have definitely earned it.

That SOS just keeps getting higher. Playoffs looking like a long shot. Sigh....

My team is about as average as it gets, except for SOS which explains why I am below average in the standings.

RyePom updated through Week 11.

When Pirates head coach "The Freeze" was questioned about their Charmin-soft schedule, he had this to say, "Just win baby! Until one of you bastards knocks me off my pedestal, I'm just going to keep riding Barber and Johnson to my first regular season title!"

Keep in mind the Fuglys won't be dancing. So as of now the Marauders are the last team in. And next year, we won't be doing an 8 teams in / 8 teams out tournament. If we still have 16 teams next year, I'd like to go with a 12 team tournament or just take it back to 16.

Sweet, the whole NIT tourney thing seemed kind of odd to me. But I know we cant change things once the season started. Speaking of next season, whats the word on a new site or renewal of this site?

Somebody owns the domain name. I'm assuming it's still swole unless someone snatched up the name shortly after he let it expire.

Seriously though, if you guys can't come up with an alternative I'd be more than happy to be the replacement. What if I made all the moderators here mods over there? I have no problem with that. Can add the fantasy boards and we'd be set. Everybody would be welcome.

I understand the thought of me being an admin of a board probably really turns some of you off. All I can tell you is I've gotten my drinking back under control. Mostly. And I'm faithfully seeing my shrink every 3 months. Smile

That's probably the best option we have at this point. If nothing else, that's where we'll all go to if the lights turn off.

We should probably also think about how we are going to transfer over all of the past seasons information. Really hate we lost the first couple season worth of info because of the demise of CE.

Here's a scary stat for the rest of the tournament field:

Over the last 4 weeks, the Guardians top 3 categories for each week have ranked:
Week 8 - 1st, 1st, 2nd
Week 9 - 2nd, 2nd, 4th
Week 10 - 1st, 1st, 2nd
Week 11 - 1st, 2nd, 2nd

I would have beat him in weeks 11 and 10 and lost weeks 8 and 9. Those would have been some good matchups.

I created it back in the summer of 2014 just as kind of a project. I had a free domain registration and a free year of hosting and creating a board is something that always piqued my interest so I spent like 2 weeks just learning how to do it and screwing around with it. I never went live with it though. I had it closed until last January and then I just took it all down and saved a backup.

If you all are really interested I can go ahead and work on getting it ready more. I probably should really update the mybb board version. The version right now is like 1.6 and I'm getting messages saying that version is no longer supported and should update to version 1.8.6. What sucks is, while you can keep the database(posts and content), updating to a new version pretty much blows away your whole theme and template you created and you have to pretty much start from scratch recreating the whole layout. Logo's, backgrounds, colors all have to be redone and re added. Something I don't mind doing but I want to make sure everybody's on board with this before I dive into it.

Mybb also has a merge tool where you can import data from other message boards. Could probably try that. I've never used it. I'm pretty much a novice at all this. That would depend on Harv making the data available.

I really appreciate it if you all are willing to put your faith in me. I haven't always been crazy. I'm not proud of the way I have acted sometimes in the past, but I am proud of the fact that I was one of the original folks back when the first iteration of CE was actually on some obscure gaming board called elitegamerz. So I have a vested interest in wanting to see this thing continue.

6 of the 9 toughest SOSs are Coastal. Not sure that actually means anything in an 11 week sample.

At this point in the season, the SOS is more a reflection of luck than it is opponent strength. We're all pretty much playing the same teams, but those with a lower SOS generally catch their opponents on a down week

I got lucky, and caught the guardians on a down week. 9 times out of 10 I'm pretty sure his team would beat me 3-2 but I somehow pulled off 4-1

RyePom still rolling and the Guardians keep climbing. They're no doubt the hot team heading into the tournament, but it's going to be really tough to beat the Pirates in 3 categories.

Final 2016 RyePom results are up, but don't let the numbers fool you. The Guardians are by far the strongest team in a best of 5 categories format.

Really disappointed in how my FT% ended up. Felt very good about that after my draft.

Richardson drop didn't work out for a couple reasons, but I don't think my reasoning behind it was awful. Wasn't feeling great about his FT% and inconsistency and didn't realize how average that cat would end up for me. Turns out, everybody but Brogdon suffered from the inconsistency bug this season. Mitchell and Onuaku are probably both in the Top 3 this season in Hot/Cold performances, if not Top 2.

Speaking of bad drops, Jordan Roper has turned out to be a top 20 player in conference games (12/4/4/2/78%). I'm kicking myself in the nuts for that one.

If only I'd known Clarke would get hurt 3 weeks later & Trey Lewis would become one dimensional.
