UNC should be embarrassed that Dennis freaking Clifford is going All-ACC on them.

So Dennis Clifford just outplayed Chinanu Onuaku and Mike Young on my roster this week. I guess I can thank Ole' Roy for that. I hope he's doing well.

Yes. Buddy Hield is good, but the rest are just taking turns beating one another and propping up the whole conference. They could put a couple of teams deep into the tourney, but it would simply be a reflection of the mediocrity throughout college basketball.

To drive home the point of how bad Roy is. Fun stats from last night

There were 12 timeouts in the game (TV and Called by the teams). Out of those timeouts, UNC had the ball 6 times and Duke had the ball 6 times. Here are the final tallies.

Duke- 20 points
UNC- 4 points, 2 turnovers.

Does that mean Duke scored 20 points on 8 possessions (6 with ball + 2 UNC TOs) coming out of timeouts Huh That's unreal

Is the ACC ready for a 3-peat? Cuse in 2015, UofL in 2016, UNC in 2017.

Of course, UNC may drag this thing out till 2035, but there’s a turd stain on the conference right now.

Love seeing Duke lose but a Duke win would have allowed us to win a portion of the regular season title with a win tonight.

Still don't get it. Brice Johnson was FAR more impactful to his team and their success than Brogdon was to his.

Vote counts here: http://acc.blogs.starnewsonline.com/5255...-the-year/

Thought Brogdon was a better all-around player than Brice, but I imagine there's a voting bias towards sticking with one's preseason POY pick if you're looking at the two players as a coin flip.

Tough competition, but thought Onuaku deserved more votes for Most Improved.

Most Improved Player of the Year
Jaron Blossomgame, Jr., Clemson 21
Grayson Allen, So., Duke 15
Cat Barber, Jr., NC State 4
Zach LeDay, Jr., Virginia Tech 4
Ja’Quan Newton, So., Miami 2
Joel Berry, So., North Carolina 2
Marcus Georges-Hunt, Sr., Georgia Tech 1
Dennis Clifford, Sr., Boston College 1
Chinanu Onuaku, So., Louisville 1

He finished strong in conference play. Not hating, I'm a Blossomgame fan; drafted him in the 8th round last year and he was consistently my 3rd or 4th best player after Aaron Thomas up and left FSU. Blossomgame's FT% and Devin Thomas' entire fantasy game tanked at the worst time possible though last year. Dropped them lower on my draft board this year than their actual value out of spite.

It's a shame these voters pull hot names out of their ass because they don't know how to read advanced statistics. Malcolm Brogdon was 8th in defensive win shares ... 8th. There is no better metric to quanitfy a player's defensive impact than win shares, because it is largely weighted by his team's defensive success, multiplied by his defensive contributions. No doubt Brogdon is a terrific perimeter defender, but the media hype is what earned him that award. I think Brogdon is fully deserving of ACC POY, but no one outside the top 5 in defensive win shares should be winning defensive player of the year. And Landry Nnoko on the All Defensive team over Brice Johnson is a joke.

I wonder if Roy's recent postgame comments about Brice breaking a sweat b/c he got down in a defensive stance hurt him?

Somebody compared Blossomgame's "Most Improved" stat deltas with Grayson Allen's:
