It amazes me that UCLA was able to pack it in on defense and play pick and pop all night long without a single offensive or defensive adjustment from Calipari. I know Pitino likes to pressure, but you can't do that against attacking guards. He needs to sit back and force them to shoot over the top like UCLA did.

Bottom of the ACC is way up this year. Wake, VT, and GT could end up bubble teams.BC and Clemson are the only weak links

Clemson isn't TERRIBLE. They just knocked off Florida State and are going to give most of the ACC fits in getting their wins.

BC, though...

Losing an away game in triple overtime to the only team in the country ranked high than you should not affect your ranking.

Weirdest stat I've seen in a very long time....

Top NCAA teams forcing the longest defensive possessions:
6) Louisville (makes sense - matchup zone)
5) Illinois St
4) Rider
3) Virginia (makes sense - pack line)
2) Syracuse (makes sense - infamous 2-3 zone)
.
.
.
.
.
1) BOSTON f**king COLLEGE

Is this even real? Does BC have cheerleaders flashing vag over on the sidelines or something?

If I'm voting, I'd rank OU ahead of KU. They win that game on a nuetral court, in regulation, comfortably.

I had the very same thought last night. How could you drop them? Because of the system that we have they'll inevitably lose 3 lines depending on what happens in the top 5.

You don't know bout that son. Oddly enough it looks like Duke, Michigan State, and UC-Irvine are the only teams to put <68 points up against them. They probably have a better SOS than we do. All weird.

Definitely could make the argument and I'd hear it. I don't see how you could drop OU to third. Did you see the shady ass inbound no-call at the end?

Happy that UNC was able to win in Tallahassee. That place usually gives them fits, a glaring problem continues to be defense. I'm not feeling good about Saturday's game @Cuse. Boeheim is coming off suspension, and wouldn't be surprised to see Cuse go off.

They modified it. He's been serving his suspension since mid year. He's allowed to return for UNC game.

Surprisingly, it wasn't Boeheim's call. He had appealed to the NCAA to have the ban dropped altogether and their response was to keep it at the same number of games AND effective immediately. Boeheim just had to GTFO with no advance notice that he would miss the games already served and the next 2 or 3 conference games for Cuse.

Based on the way Mike Hopkins is running the team (read: AWFUL offense), I can't wait for Jimmy to be back on the bench munching boogers.

Was that supposed to be a punishment? Not even being snarky. To be clear, seems like a "we'll show him!" response to an appeal. A normal process.

Yeah, I think the NCAA arbiter just decided he needed to flex a muscle that day. Very weird to respond to the appeal by MOVING the timeline of the suspension up.

Unless he did it to meet in the middle by moving the suspension to the games with no meaning so he can coach the games that matter?

Did anyone happen to watch the end of the Cuse vs. Wake game? It always amazes me to watch the "scrubs" finish a game and think, "they were the best people on their high school teams most likely." I saw three shots hit the side of the backboard and about 5 turnovers in the last 3 minutes

This. I decided to check out their record to see if maybe we would add another team to the top 25. They have 6 losses, including 8-9 UMass and half the SEC.

Made the trip from NY for the UNC State game. Lord that was ugly. Carolina shot around 35 percent for the game and had trouble scoring. Still won by double digits, and it was a good time but thankfully State is terrible. Can't win too many other games playing that way.

Gottfried should be fired. You can't have a stud like Barber and guys like Abu, Anya, and the Martins and be this mediocre.

Could Louisville fans imagine if Pitino had gotten Barber?

But Barber would have to play defense if he played for Pitino. He has the ability to be a phenomenal lead guard in his system though. Peyton Siva ... but can shoot.
