Marcus Paige broke his hand and is out up to 4 weeks. My season might be tanked.

Wow. Not a good start for the ACC point guards. I'm going to go write a ransom note telling Tony Bennett and Coach K to keep their PG's in bubble wrap.

Paige has had it rough after his breakout sophomore year. I hate to hear about injuries, but 4 weeks won't make or break anything, especially after getting Davon Reed in the 8th round.

tough break for both guys. should be interesting how the minutes are distributed to other guys on those two specific teams.

Unless it's a different James Robinson than what has showed up the last 3 seasons, you're not going to regret that one. After putting up top 10 numbers in OOC play last year, he tucked his tail between his legs when it mattered. He was definitely the most frustrating player on my team last season.

I wonder why Dixon decided to play a 32 minute scrimmage

Also, anyone else realize that Chris Jones didn't play in the pitt scrimmage? Maybe he played 8 minutes for each team? hmm

Injury. Pre-requisite for all Dominators is to have a nagging injury.

Says he was out with an ankle injury. Still weird that he only played 32 minutes.

Jekiri, McClellan, and Grayson Allen all are killing it in the exhibition games tonight so far. Amile Jefferson appears to have severely sprained his ankle.

Grayson has 14 points, 4 assists, 2 reb, 4 def, 3-3 fts in the first half. Amile injured his ankle it sounded bad on the radio but i have not seen it yet. Ingram has stuffed the stat sheet as well in the first half.

RE: Preseason News thread
Two things I like about this box score:

1) Despite coming off the bench again tonight, Thornton played the most minutes of any player.
2) Despite a poor shooting night, still managed double figures scoring again. The REASON for that is that kid knocks down his FT's. And he's getting to the line in the first two games. Could definitely use him as a 80% shooter with some measure of volume.

Jeter obviously got Jefferson's minutes after he left... that would be a very fortunate development for Buzz and the Pirates who were both counting heavily on him being a contributor for Duke.

If Jefferson is out any measure of time, Duke becomes a VERY thin roster (only 6 deep?).

Sounded like it was his other knee, if right he has a torn acl in both knees now.

damn, that sucks. Hey, don't sell Wake Forest short, they're still technically in the running for Giles, right? LOL.

BC's playing a D-II school called "Bentley," who nearly upset Providence in 2010, in a pre-season exhibition back in the Marshon Brooks-Vincent Council era. Bentley used to be pretty good, but that 2010-11 year was the last time they made it to the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 of the D-II Tournament.

I'm betting they give BC a game, they suck. St. Johns lost to a D II school by 32 points last night. It's one thing to lose but that margin is bad.

Saw the headline about SJU. Was it intentional by Mullins as a wake-up call? That's an unreal margin vs. a D-II school.

This is working:

Bentley at BC live video stream with stats: http://bceagles.com/watch/?Live=162

BC starters: Robinson, Eli Carter, Owens, Turner, Clifford.

In the first 30 seconds I watched of this stream, Eli Carter drained back-to-back 3 pointers, the second of which was a step-back fadeaway. LOL.

25 points at the half. Nearly 60% of BC's offensive output (and, mind you, 56% of their shot attempts). Can Jim Christian really intend to let Carter go Kobe on steroids for this team? If so, go ahead and give J-Rye and Critch the division titles.

Surprisingly low minutes for Diallo and then I realized he had 4 fouls, lol. Given that, kinda weird their (relatively) talented 6-10 freshman Reyes didn't get more run, but who cares, because Boston College.
