I thought Jefferson would be a good guy. Maybe should have taken him before Moss got him.

That'll be his best game of the year I'm sure. Just giving me false hope.

Even if he's a solid player, I'd sure hope/think that will be his best game. If Amile Jefferson is putting up triple double numbers like that all year, you got the biggest steal in CEBE draft history.

Easier? How so? Not my area of expertise, but body type has a lot to do with it, I'd imagine. Endomorphs will carry more body fat, Mesomorphs are more likely to build muscle mass, Ectomorphs leaner muscle, etc.

Agree muscles are more defined the darker the skin is, maybe that's what you meant.

any Intel from the Georgia Tech-Memphis scrimmage on any of the recruiting boards? Only saw a tweet from Jeff Goodman:

Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) tweeted at 9:55am - 1 Nov 15:

Told Ga Tech took care of Memphis in scrimmage yesterday. Adam Smith made bunch of 3’s & Charles Mitchell and Nick Jacobs played well. (https://twitter.com/GoodmanESPN/status/6...79456?s=17)

Haha, no kidding. Why not put Smith and Jackson at the guard spots? If I were GT's coach, I would have had one of those guys dribbling a basketball the entire summer. Gotta get his best players on the floor.

I wonder if even Eli Rogers can be a reliable, effective fantasy player in that disaster. I guess he did it when he played for Rutgers?

He's going to have a tough time catching passes in that offense

Miami can be MUCH better if Angel Rodriguez isn't a disaster. They can be a LOT worse if he is.

I mentioned this in another thread, but last week on 5Dimes, Miami was something like 110-1 to win the 2016 NCAA Basketball Championship, and Louisville was 55-1. Really good value...if.

FSU had the same odds iirc.

Dribbles basketball wrecklessly, fires it into the 65" TV and destroys the whole set-up. Sulks off to the bench as Davon Reed takes his spot in the lineup.

MIami edged South Fla in scrimmage without McClellan (hurt -- not serious). Canes had Angel, Newton, Palmer, Tonye in double figures.

So hard to get much from these kinds of games... which is why you can't count them. Half the team scored 15 points and grabbed 4-6 rebounds.

How about this. If Florida State scores 114 points or shoots 64% from the field at any point in the next 5 months, then we make exhibition games count next year.

This is the best thing I've seen all year ... Rick Pitino's basketball formula.

Bellarmine Game Stats

Defensive Rebounds + Deflections + Tipped Offensive Rebound + Hockey Assist + 2*Steals + 2*Blocks + 2*Lob Recieved (?) + 3*Offensive Rebound + 3*Back Tip + 3*Draw Charge - 2*Blown By - 3*Challenged Shot - 3*Turnover

RE: Preseason News thread
Takeaways
  • The ability to put the ball in the basket is nowhere in this formula
  • The 3 stud freshmen account for 7 of the 14 blow bys on defense
  • Onuaku's deflections and stls/blks accounted for 11 of his 27 points (explains why he's hacking and slapping ... and fouling out)
  • Only 2 challenged shots taken by the team (from who I would expect)
  • I love that he's tracking hockey assists
  • There is an official counting stat for a "Steve" (back tip offensive rebound made famous by VanTreese). It's among the most valuable stats Pitino considers.
  • Very surprising to see Deng Adel at dead last - mainly because of his defensive breakdowns
