I've heard some Dookies compare Ingram to Kevin Durant. If that pans out, ill be pissed for multiple reasons.

Thanks. It's a double-edge sword. With Grant and Connaughton gone, he should be the #1 option in South Bend. But that also means defenses will key on him more too. I really like his game though. We'll see if he's worth my first pick.

Solid pick... he was the one other guy who could have changed my draft plan if he made it to me at #8.

XRM is a beast. With Bacon now at FSU, his volume will probably go down but this guy has huge upside. Nice pick!

Didn't have Jackson going until late second round or mid 3rd. Needabuz did win the league last year though so he probably knows better than me

And XRM definitely doesn't have to worry about Aaron Thomas coming back. The 5-star recruit may eat into some of his stats, but FSU's roster is hot garbage offensively. He should still be THE man for that team in terms of usage and scoring.

It was between him and a few others. I took a long look at lee but the transition to pitinos system had me gun shy. I'm sure he'll be valuable but not sure he'll be what he was with Drexel. High risk high reward kind of pick.

DHC throws a lot of fits. I have children; the key is to just patronize them and/or outright ignore it. Mocking is also a good tactic.

I do not make any promises on the level of dysfunction when my kids turn into adults.

Well that's partly based on me getting burnt by him last year when I took him in the second round. I could very well see him putting up 15 PPG this year. Coming into college, I thought he would be a much better rebounder for his 6-9 size. You finished much better than me last year so my opinion doesn't mean much.

We shall see I guess. I just looked at his stats from last year and he pretty good averages across the board.

I am not shocked that EL is clowining my picks. This seems to be an annual tradition.

RE: Draft Comment Thread
Xrm was my top pick.

And i just don't think it's appropriate to talk about guys left on the board. A lot of it is just conversation that is harmless but it could get malicious real quick especially in about 5 rounds when Lindy someone thinks someone is going to slide to them and I post oh damn, can believe BLANK BLANKER hasn't been picked yet and he gets scooped in front of you. There was a perfect example last year of a guy I picked up that the person picking before should have taken, as in it was consensus by the division, and he didn't take him. But had someone opened their mouths he might have.

Feel free to continue to take cheap shots, EL.

Laugh if you want but there are 7 guards I would have taken ahead of Demetrius. And I'm not saying that there are 7 that will be better at the end of the year but I don't make first round picks on potential. You've laughed at me and buzz both on day one. Who were those two guys playing for the title at the end of last season? Oh yeah..

Just like the 1983 Final Four. I still can't picture a Buzz title without seeing him running around his apartment aimlessly looking for someone or something to hug.

After the draft, I'd like to compare ranking lists if you're cool with it.

PS - Jackson may not be the #1 player at season's end... but there is almost no way in hell he is ONLY Top 25. I won't get into discussing other players, but he lost Connaughton and Grant from the leadership roles on his team. That's 29 ppg, 10 rpg, and 8.2 apg for someone to consume... I don't see a viable alternative to Jackson being that guy.

I have a very simple ranking list to be honest. I don't have a really complex algorithm set up or anything like that. I definitely take things like player loss into account but you can only be accurate with the redistribution of that. Plus you know ND always has some fucking ginger that no one has ever heard of stepping out from some hoosier rock that gets 20 and 10.

Yeah, but this year's ginger is a guard and not a center.

I had Demetrius Jackson ranked 5-6 on my board, and UNC's Jackson around 18-20. I think Jackson is going to have a better year than CMM but that's TBD.

RE: Draft Comment Thread
Having owned CMM last year, I'll say that he is FANTASTIC when he decides to dominate the ball and Manning doesn't yank him for the scrubs who back him up. The growth of those reserve guards and his FT shooting alone are reasons to steer clear. He's also a non-factor if a team decides to pack the paint and make him shoot. In other words, the guy is an attrocious shooter from anywhere beyond the 10 feet.

Always tough with the most talented team. On paper, lots of good options. In reality, a problem deciding who will emerge to take the lion's share of the stats. They're also going to wreck a lot of the early-season games because someone starts a reserve guard and he winds up playing 35 minutes in a blowout and logging a 15/4/7/5 line while Paige leaves 2 minutes into the second half.
