Draft Comment Thread
The other draft thread is for picks only, this is where you can talk about the picks.

Have fun everybody.

I might be on a slight delay tomorrow. I lost 4 hours of scout work that was supposed to be FUCKING saved when my laptop died. So pissed. I'm sorry.

Hopefully a healthy Paige puts up a nice 16/6 90% FT type stat line. Mike F is on the clock but he hasnt been on for a few days.

Yeah, I wouldn't have gone with Paige just because he has so many weapons around him. But you gotta like his FT shooting and D along with whatever scoring you get.

Yeah I'm not expecting him to put up monster scoring but I don't think 15, and 6 is an unreasonable expectation. I mean he still averaged 14 last year even while playing pretty poor for a lot of the year. He is still going to be UNC's go to guy even with the other pieces. Considered 5 other guys. I just like the overall balance he has in his game.

Looks like the Atlantic is roaring through the draft while we're stuck on #1.

FYI, I'm leaving for Disney Thursday night and will have limited access until the following Tuesday. If you want this thing to avoid maximum stall, someone needs to go find Mike.

RE: Draft Comment Thread
As a mod, I can see that users are posting to the Draft Thread. As Harv notes here:

http://thecebe.com/showthread.php?tid=34...0#pid61590

me, DHC, and Harv are mods and as such cannot have access to that board taken away without also taking mod privileges. We are on the honors system to not peek at the other draft. For whatever it's worth, I give my word that I am not actually looking at the thread. I can just see on the main forum page when the username flips from Harv to critch to J-Rye (or whatever their draft order is).

yeah, not saying you guys are prone to cheat but I know it would be hard for me not to peek. Too easy to justify when it's 2am and you're chain-drinking hard root beer and IPAs..."what's the harm?" etc...

Well, for starters...integrity. Secondly, neither EL or I need to copy someone's draft strategies or picks. We're proven commodities.

RE: Draft Comment Thread
so more importantly, what happens if the Guardians dude doesn't check in for like 5 days? I know the draft moves on but when do we look for replacements, etc. in case this happens? Way too soon to count him out, but nice to have a contingency in case anybody has to bow out for whatever reason during the draft.

I feel like the other league is just blasting their draft comment thread to make it LOOK like they're tearing through the draft. And it's working.

This is going to be an interesting draft. There are a lot of options. Lots of things going on. I feel like you could get lucky on a pick and it could make you or vice versa.

RE: Draft Comment Thread
Yep. I have a pretty clear Top 12 (haven't researched the freshmen just yet, so that list may expand) and no one is really an obvious selection over the other 11. Paige was a solid #1, but I could easily see 5-10 guys surpassing him either with break-out sophomore/junior/senior campaigns or Paige stepping back because he has Johnson, Meeks, Jackson, Baby Dre, etc. all there gunning for numbers and PT. Paige was the safest #1, but I would definitely have taken one player over him and potentially 2-3 others beyond that.

Things are going to get REALLY interesting in the 3rd round and beyond, though.

I know a few of you are against drafting freshman but I think Ingram was a pretty good pick. I just couldn't pull the trigger because the last Duke freshman I drafted was a pretty bad pick for the format. JHmoss on the clock

Also, any of you guys that aren't on the forums as much as a lot of us are....feel free to PM me your number and I'd be more than happy to shoot you a text when you're up. We should hopefully be alright once we get rolling over here.

There are so many good but not great options that I'm nervous as hell about my selections. Could be a great pick, could be meh. We don't know who made strides in the offseason, who is planning on taking on new roles, who has expanded their game, etc.
