RE: Season Averages Record Book
Considering how many records were put up by the Shooters in 2015, I had to get it in the books. The averages are going to be affected by how many teams were in the league that year (and how many teams were in the actual Big East), so that's what the normalized records are for.

That's some great stuff, thanks. Big Grin

I'll add it to the official book when I update it.

It makes me happy that the normalized records were able to get DHC in the books

I don't know if I entirely understand this. So the Normalcy goes along with how many teams are in the conference and how many members? So it weighs 16 team big east with 10 teams less than 16 teams acc with 16 teams? Is that right?

even though we had 16 CEBE teams last year, each conference of 8 CEBE teams was drafting from a pool of 15 ACC teams. So for 2015, it's an 8:15 ratio instead of 16:15

Factor = (CEBE teams / Actual teams) ^ .31

the exponent adjusts the numbers so all the season averages are comparable

RE: Season Averages Record Book
Season records updated through the 2015-16 season. Scoring and rebounding were up quite a bit this season, taking over 5 of the top spots in those two categories. Tarheels and Dean hit a phenominal number of free throws, and I see that record lasting for a while. The harder record book to crack in a season like this is the "normalized records". Mike F is the only team to make a dent in those all time standings. Beast mode on the glass

RE: Season Averages Record Book
I think the amounts of records entered this year suggest it may time for one league, and no split divisions.

thats why I like the normalized records that account for how many teams are in the league. The entire ACC played like 3-4 more possessions per game this year which helped too
