Im kinda getting tired of folks saying Pitino needs to step down. Like that would help with the NCAA

Still very odd to see him in anything remotely serious. I think first movie I saw him in was the one with Thandi Newton where he runs a marathon to win her back. It was patently dumb, but I have a thing for Newton and he's actually a really good actor.

Anyway, point is I struggle to believe him as Ethan Hunt's sidekick in Mission Impossible movies.

RE: Tidbits
Josh Pastner is definitely terrible, but he's an upgrade for Georgia Tech. And if I'm being completely objective here, Pastner has won the last 2 meetings against Pitino. He'll also get the opportunity to get his ass kicked by UVA and one of his X-players, Austin Nichols. Something that could be a positive for the ACC is that Pastner loves to run'n'gun - to a fault. There will be more fast paced, high scoring games, which the ACC didn't have much of this year.

RE: Tidbits
For those not familiar with what will happen next

http://www.miami.edu/index.php/ncaa_inve...e_process/

Quote:Once an institution or individual receives a Notice of Allegations, there are two options. The first is for the institution and individual to agree to the allegations in the NOA and to proceed via summary disposition with the enforcement staff to the Committee on Infractions, which would ultimately decide on penalties. The second option is for the institution (and involved individuals) to file a response to the NOA, which leads to a hearing before the Committee on Infractions. The institution or individual has 90 days to file a response to the NCAA. Included in that response could be challenges to any of the alleged bylaws violations included in the Notice of Allegations, along with supporting evidence. Also, generally included in a response are any self-imposed punishments by the institution.

All parties who receive a Notice of Allegations are allowed to submit a response within 90 days or request an extension from the Chairman of the Committee on Infractions.
