To be fair, that UConn team did beat UK in the title game so, there's that

Early 2015 NCAABB Rankings out. Lots of hype for the freshmen, again. We check in at #5 with a bullet.

RE: Tidbits
Speaking of which...announced today:

Reduction of scholarships 2017-2019 seasons
Reducing number of recruiting visits allowed by Pitino/Staff
Reducing number of official visits to the school allowed

Self imposed. While we're at it, why not just self impose the death penalty.

Seriously though as trigger happy as they seem to be, I'm surprised they haven't announced a suspension for Pitino for the entire conference and post season next year

Keeeeewl. You can go ahead and sit out tourney next year as well. Why. Because we know that's the biggest thing youre trying to avoid.

MORE self imposed penalties? GTFO. This is getting ridiculous enough to make me think we actively participated in this mess. That or we went full retard.

In other news, the University of Louisville physics department has shocked the science community. A 6-member undergraduate research team successfully defied Newton's 3rd Law, teaching the entire athletic department how to throw books at themselves.

I haven't figured how this defies an equal and opposite reaction but I'll take your word for it. Also, did you know Nanu has declared?

The university statement said that these are not the result of additional violations found within the program, but as part of the university’s ongoing effort to take actions in keeping with its understanding of the NCAA’s penalty process.

That's something I feel like may happen. We have a bunch of fans that really thought the self-imposed ban would be enough. I've never felt that way and didn't agree with it. The NCAA will do what they want. They don't have to accept any self punishment. You can't trust the NCAA with anything like this. They are very inconsistent.

I think it's obvious at this point that we are getting into the area of no "institutional control" over the basketball program. If not, there wouldn't be reason to keep punishing ourselves. I think Pitino will have to sit out some games.

At this point, I really hope there isn't something that will floor us all. It sickens me that this happened and not for any puritanical reasons....I just hold the things I like to a standard and didn't expect the situation to be so "dirty" feeling.

I am far from being a puritan in most things. I am definitely a live and let live kind of guy when it comes to adults and sexual habits. If all parties are consenting, I don't care what you do. But, when a mother pimps her underage daughters, I have an issue with that.
