(S7)Season 7 CEBE Draft
This is your official draft thread. Last chance for anyone to change their team colors.
Make your picks here!

Here's how it works...

1. You will have 24 hours to make your pick. If you fail to make a pick, we will move on without you and you can make your pick whenever you get a chance. At the start of Round 7 teams will have just 12 hours to make their selections.

2. The moment you make your pick, the next team is on the clock.

3. The draft will snake, so the hothot will have the 8th and 9th picks, and so on.

4. If you think you will be away when your pick comes up, please send me (via private message) your choices and I will make a selection for you. This will speed things up dramatically. Title your PM 'Draft Picks' so they will not need to be viewed until necessary.

5. Please do not comment in this thread. There will be another thread for that. I'll post a spreadsheet below with the draft progress here and there. I'll try to update it as picks are made.(you may need to refresh)

A * means that player plays multiple positions.

The order of selection is...
1. Stud Fuglys(HarveyGlass)
2. Dejuan Wheats(nicklindy)
3. Shooting Blanks(tarheels15)
4. Guardians of the Cassell(Mike F)
5. Queen Ann's Revenge(captainblackbeard13)
6. Lindy's Empire(chrislindy)
7. Diggler's Dozen(@critchelow)
8. West Texas hothot(ULismyhothot)

The Fuglys may pick at 7pm on Friday...

RE: Season 7 CEBE Draft
With the 4th pick in the 1st round of the 2014 CEBE draft, the Guardians of the Cassell take PF Montrezl Harrell, Louisville. I had 4 picks lined up and was certain that the Louisville homers would have grabbed the best PF earlier. Of course if a Louisville homer would like to trade, I am listening.

May be early to double up on one team's players, but without Eric Atkins and no notable recruits coming in I think there's plenty of scoring and rebounding for Pat Connaughton. Love the FT% from the forward spot and the flexibility with his G eligibility.

Welcome to the Empire, Mr. Connaughton!

Expecting more big things from my next pick, who moves into the starting lineup and should see his minutes bump up a good 50% over last year. At averages of 10.3/6.1/0.9/2.0, I'll take anything remotely approaching 15/9/1.5/3.

Welcome to the Empire, Mr. Brice Johnson of the UNC Tarheels. Tobacco Road is expecting big things of you in 2014-2015 and now you are playing for the premier Atlantic program in the CEBE.

Well since I could not take a freshman with my first round pick, I guess I will take the risk this round and take the player that is a mix between Duke's all-time great Jason Williams and Kyrie Irving. The Queen Ann's Revenge select Tyus Jones from Duke University!!

The Guardians of the Cassell go with the underdog Wolfpack and SG transfer Trevor Lacey. Although #2 on the list, I just couldn't go with a 2nd Cardinal.

Oh and by the way, during the final seconds of the Hokies win over the Tarheels, it was announced by more than one UNC fan to me that football season is officially over and basketball season is here.

Took a little research to determine a pick after Meeks was taken right out from under me.

He won't be there if I wait, and I'll kick myself if he blows up this season, so with the 4th selection of the 2014 CEBE Atlantic Draft the Empire select G Terry Rozier from THE University of Louisville.

Either I'm taking a Cardinal to a title or blaming him when I don't get there. Don't mess this up Terry.

Call me a homer, but I need assists and next on the Guardians spreadsheet is Virginia Tech G Devin Wilson, 2013-14 All-ACC freshmen team and #3 in assists last year. Now I can only hope that new coach Buzz Williams doesn't have plans to mix up the guard positions. Go Hokies! Go Guardians!

The Shooting Blanks (just like the UNC football team this weekend) are on the clock.

Can't ignore another value pick at this late juncture. He may not be Duke's PG anymore, but I see no way that Quinn Cook is reduced to mop-up duty. Even with reduced minutes, it sounds like he may be the starting SG and/or part of a 3-guard lineup for Coach K. Best shooter on the team, plays a little D, and is lights out from the charity stripe. I'll roll the dice on that.
