There you go I didn't hold up the draft for a change. The 1 day rule works for me. I am not always around. So far I have been when it has been my turn but I am sure I won't be present every time it is my turn.

I'm pretty excited with that last pick (Trevor Lacey). We will see how it goes.

There is no way I was going to pick Jerian Grant unless he was just by far the best available. He is very inconsistent (or atleast was) so you can't really know what he'll do before the game is played. And that game where he pooped on Louisville... The CEBE season was already over I think, so I didn't even get those stats haha.

I don't think Grant even had a field goal in that game until he scored 12 points in the last 34 seconds. I'm still bitter about that game, so maybe subconsciously that's why I didn't pick him

Ugh. This last pick was painful. At this point, we didn't want to go with a forward -- especially Charles Mitchell (DHC actually happened to take who we had hoped to land) -- but any even decent options at that position are getting very scarce, so we pretty much had to get it while the getting was good.

Fat Wayne could be a great pick this late in the draft. Kinda like Hancock was last year

Really wanted to get a solid Cards player this year. Looking at the stats it seemed just about the right time.

I think getting Wayne this late is a freaking steal. I was hoping that he got back to me.

Rarely will you ever see 2 Louisville players fall further than they should in the CEBE draft (Wayne and Jones). I struggled picking Kaleb Joseph over Jones, but I'm banking on Joseph putting up similar numbers to Syracuse point guards of the last few years.

Jones is probably the first player that got to the pick before me and snatched up before I could in this draft.

Pitino was saying Jones and Levitch were gonna be splitting minutes this year so you could just pick him up... pretty much identical stats

When I'm able to grab a guard like Robinson with the 48th pick, it makes me glad I snagged a forward with the #1 pick. He'll be solid but never outstanding.

Yeah that's the thing about this draft. It's SO guard heavy. Forwards are very slim. Robinson wouldn't surprise me if he produced better than cook. I was going back and forth on them too.

Tough pick, was waffling over 3 guys. Figured I would go with the guy on the best team. Welcome to the Dragons London!

Pickings are a bit slim at this point. It will be interesting to see if there are any Tom Brady type steals in these later rounds.

There are usually a few late round guys that end up being top 25 producers.

Nice pickup, JD. I was down to him and MANGOK for this pick.

Henry, Sampson, Jekiri, and Mangok were the top 4 guys on my best available list and they all get picked up in a row. That has never happened before, and all of those guys will be starter quality IMO. I had a tough time picking McCullough over Jekiri.

RE: Draft Comment Thread
Sampson I wanted to draft earlier but I just wasn't sure about him or Charles Mitchell. On one hand, we had Sampson who averaged 9 points and 9 rebounds in his last year of play (against C-USA competition), had a year in GT's system, and an excellent pedigree. On the other hand, we had Mitchell, who has actually fared decently well against bona fide ACC competition at a position that has a shallow talent pool. I couldn't find any information about Sampson in practice, so I just assumed that since Mitchell was part of a fairly orchestrated MD-GT talent swap, plus GT was able to push successfully for Mitchell to be immediately eligible, that Mitchell transferred with good reason (playing time). At this point, I view them both as handcuffed to each other, so we'll see who the hot hand is and go from there.

Mangok is another guy I would have loved to have this late in the draft but we really don't need another center. We have two excellent options in Tobey and Bojanovsky.

Shaqquan Aaron was going to be my next pick as I do see him as being capable of stealing minutes from Wayne but in Rick's system nothing is promised with freshmen. All the same, he was worth a gamble this late in the draft. With that, I think my hopes of drafting a Cardinal and expecting him to see some serious playing were dashed. Matz possibly may see some minutes against certain lineups or if Mangok gets injured but, again, we don't need another center. We do, however, need a director of operations, so David Padgett might be one of our selections this year.
