The other draft thread is for picks only, this is where you can talk about the picks.

With the first selection in the 2014 CEACC Draft, Empire Lindy select David Levitch.

Surprised that statistically, Harrell is not the clear top pick...a little mind game for Harv.

Harrell didn't put up super awesome numbers until the end of the year and his ft% makes me think twice. And I'm nervous about picking a Cardinal.

I still believe we have never had a Louisville Cardinal on a CEBE title team. Is that right?

Only one person was top 10 in all categories last year....but at the same time there is a lot of good freshmen talent coming in.

The only thing with Paige that should worry you is potential balance with North Carolina dropping his stats a bit. Last year he was really the only scorer, this year he has three very solid options but an increase in assists might make up for 2-3 PPG lost off his scoring average. Really hoping lindy doesnt steal option 2 from me.

Yeah, points are easier to come by than the rest, imo. It's still gonna be his team probably. I'd say he's that good.

Harrell would have been a guaranteed 15 and 8 and there are more centers than you apparently think.

Harrell was definitely considered for me but I just feel like there is a lot more quality depth at the Forward spots than at Center. Besides Okafor, there are only really 2-3 more quality ones Jmo. I'm buying into the hype, the guy's a mammoth.

The Heel goes with the Dukie! Probably a quality pick. But that 'FR' designation makes it a 'probably'. Tongue He could end up the ACC POY though. Worth the risk, imo.

I have 3 more centers that I would be fine with having on my team...after that, mediocre begins.

You might want to keep these tips to yourself. lol JMO Especially if you want one of those three to come back around to you. Tongue

The thing is though, there are much better guards and forwards available before those centers...and you know how I play centers anyway...

Liked that Jerian Grant pick though. Bit of a risk but he was in the middle of a 19, and 6 season before being suspended. Dude is really damn good.

I would have taken Okafor or Harrell but Harrell is a terrible FT risk...and Okafor is a freshman.

I was surprised he fell with the Louisville bias. I was thinking Grant or Paige, with Montrezl and/or Harrell as the other choice.

Good luck against Syracuse. I am bouncing between the playoffs & the football game. I will be in Chapel hill tomorrow for "we lost to ECU" football game of the weekend. Go Hokies!

Montrezl AND/OR Harrell?!! Can't go wrong there.

Honestly, this is probably a make or break game as far as our football season is concerned. A loss and we're looking at 6-6 or so. A win and we can still hope for an improving team winning 8 games or more. Currently 12-3 at the half. We've looked like the better team so far but it's too close for comfort...

Didn't expect to be so tortured drafting this early. Where is all the ACC depth of talent? Things took a quick turn south after Paige, Grant, Harrell, and Okafor left the draft room.

Hope Connaughton is going to fill the offensive void left by Eric Atkins and Garrick Sherman. I assume Grant moves over to the floor general spot since they don't have diddly in the recruiting class.
