RE: Hockey talk
Still 2-1 Rangers, but now after two periods. Lightning have had tons of chances but Lundvist's been good and the Rangers are settling in on defense. Gonna be a tough nut to crack in the third but it feels like the Bolts are about to break through.

Hitchcock given a measly one-year extension, and will the Blues trade Oshie or Backes...? http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/05/27/blues-s...candidates

RE: Hockey talk
Is hie has a lot of potential but his only value right now is in shootouts. Anytime he gets a fast break and goes 1 on 1 there's a good chance that puck is going in. But his value is still high. They can get rid of Backes too. Useless. I hope they don't get rid of Ott though. I like his grit. I do feel like the problem is with Hitchcock though. Been like this for years. I received word that if blues don't make it to the finals in the next couple years, they'll be moving cities.

Anybody pulling for the Blackhawks? I am going for the Bolts out of allegiance to Harv. Trying to put it out of my head that they knocked the Habs out.

Meh, let's play seven. Smile

I'm so impressed by Jon Cooper. The Lightning have played with so much maturity beyond their age. It's kind of freaking out the Blackhawks I think.

And for all you non-hockey lurkers, all four games in this series have been decided by a single goal. All that remains after a 2-2 start is a Best of Three. Game Five, Saturday, 8pm.

Jon Cooper is overrated. If it wasn't for his natural gifts and size advantage, he wouldn't be shit. His game is a lot like Happy Gilmore before his transition to golf. He wouldn't even start for the lightening if I were the coach.

They're doing fine, just a fantastic series between two evenly matched teams. I'm afraid the Hawks' experience my shine through in the end. But then again, this is shaping up a lot like the Detroit series.

Great series. Seabrook said the Lightning are gonna do in the next six years what the Hawks have done the past six years. Pretty nice respect.

Also, bump to stay comfortably ahead of the two hoops threads.

Big apparel sale at TotalHockey.com going on right now. They have tons of cheap Blues and Red Wings stuff, and when you check out you can take an extra 20% off of the sale price using the code STYLE20.

Scroll down and you can sort by team, price, whatever.

Versteeg and Nordstrom are the latest to leave Chicago. They go to Carolina for basically a bag of pucks. http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/09/11/chicago...anes-trade

Players that have left the Hawks this offseason...
Saad
Sharp
Oduya
Richards
Raanta
Timonen
Versteeg
Nordstrom

Oh yeah, there's the whole Patrick Kane thing. Could be a rough few years. They got their three Cups though so it has to be worth it.
