Habs showing some life tonight. Can they hold on and avoid the sweep, at least?

Dammit, now it's 3-2. Gotta win Tuesday in Tampa or else it'll get real scary.

Nice. Rangers scored with :00.3 seconds left in the first period to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room.

Do you have a favorite in that series, Harv? I am going for the Caps because I have friends in DC that are Caps fans.

I'm not an Ovechkin fan.

And whaddaya know, he guaranteed that Washington will win Game 7. It would be so Ovechkin of them to lose badly.

I don't know enough about hockey to know who the pricks are. I am just picking by friends who live in the city. I went to eat in Chinatown across the street from the arena a few years back and watched all the fans streaming in to watch. I have seen a few hockey related posts on facebook from their games, too.

So, there you have it. I am pulling for the Caps. LOL.

RE: Hockey talk
He's one of the super-talented studs of this generation, a flashy counterpoint to Sidney Crosby's(Pittsburgh Penguins) measured, blue-collar ethic. But while Crosby has won it all and would maybe have more if he weren't so fragile, Ovechkin is not as much of a team player. More of a highlight reel, never win anything type of star. Though the Caps are looking better than they've looked since he's been there, which is probably around ten years now, I'm guessing.

It's hard for me to root for NY though. I don't want to see former Bolt Marty St. Louis move on. He left some pretty hard feelings in Tampa Bay last year and it'll take a long while for people to get over them.

Still hate Ovechkin(#8) more though.

RE: Hockey talk
Oh man, Game 6 tonight and it's as close to a must-win as a non-elimination game can possibly be. If we lose tonight we'll be big underdogs in Montreal for Game 7 on Thursday.
It won't help that gritty F Ryan Callahan is out with an emergency appendectomy. Wtf.
Look for the ultra-talented 20-year old Jonathan Drouin to get some good minutes tonight in his place. He's a wizard with the puck. If we can get a point or two from him tonight or even just some inspired energy, it will bode well for the series and the future of the franchise.

Can't wait for this one. Should be a very intense game.
7:30pm, NBCSN or online. I'll post a link when it's time.

I need to download Firefox on this machine. I almost never this computer. This one has Chrome. I quit using Firefox a while back when it started to get too clunky but I switched back on my work computer on the recommendation of friend who said the latest version was better.

I am glad for two things
1) I am a casual fan so I am not devastated by the loss
2) The Habs made a series of it.

On to Round three. Who to pull for?

News flash shocker...Ovechkin fails again!

The Capitals have played five Game 7s after having a 3-1 lead and have lost all five.
They've never made it past the 2nd Round since Ovie's been there.

Very exciting first 40 minutes in Game One of the ECF. Both teams skating up and down the ice and with good pressure on attack, but it was the Rangers scoring with 12 seconds left in the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead into the 3rd. Should be a fun finale.

Well crudbuckets. Rangers scored a cheeser with 2 minutes left to win it 2-1. If the rest of the series is as fast paced and exciting as that one I may not last.

I still like the Bolts in this series. Haven"t watched much since the Wings got ousted, but I did watch this game. If Bolts win next game, they're in good shape.

Yeah they had their chances. I felt like it took them a good period and a half to get into the game and then it was up for grabs. Should be a long series. Bishop's getting better every game.

3 goals in 37 seconds by Chicago. Leading to a double overtime win. Sounds like it was a good one. If you're into that sorta thing.

Pretty amazing. Ducks were down two with about 11 minutes to go in the game and in 37 seconds they were up one. Hawks tied it with 7 to play and won it in 2OT.

Huge Game 5 tonight in MSG. Lightning/Rangers in the ECF.

How to top that...? Last night the Ducks were up 4-2 with less than two minutes to go in the game. Jonathan Toews scored twice in a minute fifty to send the game to OT in front of a stunned silent Anaheim crowd. Ducks won it 40 seconds into OT. Smile
