RE: Record Book
It looks like it will be updated after the season. My failure to keep up on a week to week basis means that it's going to take a lot more time to go through each week. Sorry.

RE: Record Book
Thanks for posting these.

80.5% FT shooting for the season is unreal. There's only one team in college hoops this season above 80%, Davidson (81.1%). Nice job, Mdubb.

Also, I believe most of us predicted a more competitive season during the draft; cool to see that it worked out that way.

RE: Record Book
The Record Book is now up through Season Five, which means that Steals are merely a thing of the past. Defense has taken their place and the new number to beat is the FreeBallers' 38! Set in Week 4, it was nearly matched in that very same game by Team Hothot's 33. the Hothot's Chris Obekpa was the season's individual defensive stud, deflecting 13 opposing chances in that same Week 4 game vs the Ballers. He would even go on to cockblock a good friend not once but twice later on that very night. Nice job noobs.

As for our more hallowed records, Deano's Dragons made a run at the Wheats' Team FT record, but came up short. Their .897 percentage was good for second best ever, but still quite a bit off the mark.

An impressive individual performance by the FreeBallers' Michael Carter-Williams put him in the Book with 23 assists in Week 7, still 6 behind Levance Fields of 08-09.

You did, I remember that. Second best Team % I believe. I post them if I'm feeling frisky during the season but usually I'll comb through every week's scores during the offseason.

RE: Record Book
Our Record Book is now completely up to date after the CEBE's sixth season!

There were quite a few entries this season, mostly in the fledgling 'Defense' categories. As this is only our second season using Defense as opposed to the former Steals category, we're still establishing our ideals of an amazing defensive game.
But I think it's fair to say that 38 is a very impressive Team number and it remains unbeaten after two years. The FreeBallers did tie that record this season and DieHard's Dominators re-entered the Book with 36 in Week 6. As an aside, the Doms also collected 34 in Week 2 of this season and that number held a two-week spot in the Book.

Individually, the Hothot's Chris Obekpa became a former record holder in the Defense category this season. His 14 was absolutely shattered by Joe Jackson of the FreeBallers who put up a whopping 18 in Week 6! The Doms' Tim Thomas led his team that same week with 13 to sneak in.

Our only other Record Book entries this season were in the much older Free Throw categories.
Needabuzz had the 2nd best Team FT% ever seen in Week 4 of this season. As amazing as their .903 is, they would have needed to make their next 6 free throws just to tie the Wheats' four-year old record!

Buzz's exceptional free throw shooting wasn't just a one-week occurence however. In Week 10, Sean Kilpatrick tied the Buzz's own Travon Woodall for the greatest Individual FT% of all time with a 17-17 performance.

Congratulations to the FreeBallers, DieHard's Dominators, and Needabuzz for pushing the limits of CEBE basketball even further into OUTER SPAAAAAACE!

RE: Record Book
The new and improved Record Book has been posted!! It now features yearly category averages thanks to J-Rye. I've also added in our new records from Season 7.
You may need to refresh the page to see the new image.

The Shooters have hit the golden number for Team Rebounds in a game, that's right, 100 rebounds! They topped a record that stood for six years and this one may be up there for longer than that. Great team effort.

The Shooters also set the record for the younger Team Defense category at 39, beating a two-year old FreeBaller effort. They were led in that game by Rakeem Christmas' 15 Defense and that places him at 3rd on the all-time list. Coming in at 2nd on that list is Chinanu Onuaku of the defending champion Needabuzz team and the somewhat competitive Empire team. He had 16 Defense in Week 3 of this past season and when asked what jersey he would like the Hall of Records to display he declined comment until a later date.

Congrats to our new entries and special congrats to the Premature Shooters for finally making it into the Book and for leaving such an indelible mark. 100 Rebounds?!! 100 Rebounds divided by 12 games played equals every player that week in every game, and every position, getting an average of 8.33 Rebounds per. Unreal.

I'm still in the process of appealing the federal court ruling that delayed games don't count in the tournament. I like my chances, but this is costing me a fortune.
